Here we are mid-way through November and Christmas is not far away. This is an update on what is happening over the next few months;
It is now 6 months since Sally retired and we have begun to adjust to some different ways of doing things at St Paul’s. We have been truly blessed to have Adair with us, sharing the load in so many different ways, but sadly that will come to an end in December. We have also appreciated the willingness of Keith, Craig and Ellie to take our services.
Parish Council has been busy in the background working out ways that we can have the pulpit filled each Sunday and even possibly have some pastoral work added into the mix. This is what the next while will look like:
4th December – Adair’s last service, Communion followed by a morning tea and chance to farewell Adair.
11th December – Gift service with Napier Family Centre and Swinburn House
18th December – Carols and Readings service
25th December – Christmas Day Service at Trinity Methodist at 10.00am
1st & 8th January – we will join with Trinity Methodist on these Sundays
15th, 22nd, 29th January – Rev Susan Jones (from Wellington) will take the services
February – Rev Margaret Garland (from Dunedin) will take the services
26th March – a combined Presbyterian service at St Andrew’s, Hastings
April – Rev Anne Thomson will take the services
As you can see over the next 6 months we are looking forward to a variety of ministry these visiting ministers will share with us.
